Terms of use

Clear terms for working together.

Terms for using Aether, this website and hosted services. Keep these alongside the privacy policy and the licenses supplied with your software.

Effective 12 October 2026 · Version 1.0

Operator and scope

Aether / CloudUnit is an individual developer operating in California, United States, not a registered company. Contact: aethersupervisor@outlook.com. “Aether,” “we” and “our” refer to that operator. These terms cover the website and hosted services and describe conditions for using Aether software alongside the licenses delivered with it.

Where these terms are presented for acceptance during registration, setup, purchase or activation of a hosted service, accepting them forms the relevant agreement. Posting this page alone does not establish that an existing desktop user accepted it. Software and open-source permissions supplied under a separate license continue to apply.

You must be legally able to enter the relevant agreement, or use the service with legally valid parental or guardian authorization. If you act for an organization, you must have authority to bind it. Applicable laws and non-waivable consumer rights apply throughout.

Software, accounts and future features

Aether is a desktop AI workspace. Its capabilities depend on the version, configuration, connected model and services you use. Product descriptions relate to current functionality; previews use illustrative content. AI output and integrations do not guarantee a particular result.

Online Aether accounts, cloud synchronization and paid Aether subscriptions are not currently offered through this website. If introduced, we will present the operator’s legal identity, feature details, applicable terms and privacy notices before activation or purchase. Additional terms apply only to the feature or transaction they describe and cannot reduce mandatory rights.

If accounts become available, keep credentials secure, provide accurate information and report suspected unauthorized access. Google profile connection currently creates a local identity display; it is not proof of a server-side login or paid entitlement.

Your content and software licenses

You retain the rights you hold in your files, prompts and other content. You must have permission to submit, process or share that information. The service receives only the permissions needed to handle content for the features you request, such as storing, displaying or transmitting a hosted workflow message; this does not transfer ownership.

No permission to use your Google profile for advertising or model training is granted by these terms. Data handling is explained in the privacy policy.

Aether branding and site material may be used only as permitted by law or the relevant license. Open-source components and any Aether code distributed under an open-source license remain governed by that license, including its granted rights and notices. These terms do not revoke those rights. AI output can resemble third-party material; no guarantee of exclusivity, copyright ownership or clearance is made.

AI output and agent actions

AI can produce incorrect facts, insecure code, incomplete checks, biased output or unsuitable instructions. Review, test and validate results before relying on them, especially before deployment, financial decisions or work affecting other people. Aether is not a substitute for qualified medical, legal, financial or safety-critical advice.

Tools can read and change files, run commands, control a browser and contact external services. Give only the access needed, review approval prompts and keep backups. You are responsible for authorizing work on systems you control and reviewing the actions and output you choose to use. This does not excuse our own legal obligations or fault.

Stopping a run does not reverse a completed command or recall an action already accepted by an external service. Checkpoints and rollback are useful tools, not a guarantee that every action can be undone.

Connected services and credentials

Model providers, agent runtimes, websites, plugins, MCP servers and other integrations have their own terms, licenses, privacy practices and usage limits. Review them before connecting. You are responsible for credentials you supply and provider charges you incur through your authorized requests.

Aether does not promise that a third-party model, API or integration will remain available or compatible. We do not control their independent actions. A provider sign-in or subscription does not automatically grant an Aether entitlement, and an Aether feature does not override provider restrictions.

Acceptable use

Do not use hosted services to violate law or third-party rights; obtain unauthorized access; distribute malware; steal credentials; harass or exploit people; impersonate another person deceptively; or submit content you have no right to process. Do not attack, overwhelm or bypass the access controls and rate limits of our hosted services.

Security research must be authorized for the systems involved. Report a suspected vulnerability privately to aethersupervisor@outlook.com rather than accessing other users’ information. These restrictions do not prohibit lawful activity permitted by an applicable open-source license or mandatory law.

Future purchases and subscriptions

No payment or recurring Aether subscription is created by visiting this website, requesting a build or connecting Google. Third-party model and runtime charges are separate.

Before any future purchase, we will disclose the seller’s legal identity, price, currency, taxes where applicable, what is supplied, billing period, trial conditions, renewal terms, cancellation method and any refund policy. Recurring charges require affirmative consent where required by law. Cancellation and renewal reminders must satisfy applicable law, including California rules when they apply.

Changes to a paid plan require appropriate advance notice and any required consent. Refund and cancellation rights supplied by law cannot be excluded. The applicable order terms must address interruption or withdrawal of a paid service rather than leaving those matters to an unrestricted right to change it.

Changes, availability and suspension

We may update software and modify hosted features for security, reliability, legal requirements or product development. Free experimental features may change or end. Paid commitments, if introduced, remain subject to their disclosed order terms and statutory rights.

We may restrict hosted access where reasonably necessary to address abuse, security risk, illegality or a material breach. We will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue where practical, unless that would create a security or legal risk. Ending hosted access does not remove rights granted by a separate software license or authorize deletion of local device files.

Keep your own copies of work. Where we discontinue a hosted feature holding user content, we will provide a reasonable opportunity to retrieve it when practical and legally permitted, subject to any required retention or safety restriction.

Warranty limitations

Free experimental hosted features and AI results are offered without a promise of uninterrupted availability, error-free operation or fitness for a particular project. Separate software licenses, including open-source warranty notices, govern the software they cover. We do not promise that generated code or content is accurate, secure, original or suitable for production.

These limitations do not replace an express promise in a paid order, excuse misleading statements, or remove warranties and remedies that applicable law requires. We remain responsible for obligations that cannot legally be excluded.

Liability and protected rights

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits responsibility for fraud, willful injury, gross negligence, violations of law where liability cannot be waived, or any other responsibility that applicable law does not allow us to exclude or limit. Non-waivable consumer, privacy and digital-content rights remain intact.

For users acting for business purposes, and only where lawful, we exclude indirect or consequential business losses, such as lost profits or lost business opportunities, that arise from use of the hosted service. For those business users, liability for other covered hosted-service claims is limited in aggregate to the greater of US $100 or the amount paid to us for the affected hosted service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. The exclusions in the preceding paragraph override this limit.

For consumers, the business exclusions and cap do not apply. We remain responsible for losses for which the law makes us responsible, including foreseeable loss caused by our failure to meet applicable duties. You should take reasonable steps to protect your work and limit avoidable loss, without reducing rights that the law protects.

Governing law and disputes

California law governs an agreement validly formed under these terms, subject to applicable federal law and the mandatory protections of the place where a consumer lives. A consumer may bring a claim in a court or forum available under applicable law. No mandatory arbitration or class-action waiver is imposed by this page.

Please contact aethersupervisor@outlook.com to try to resolve a concern. This is not a condition that prevents urgent legal relief, a regulator complaint or timely exercise of a statutory right. No exclusive California county or court is specified without a separately agreed and lawful provision.

Updates and general provisions

Changes apply prospectively. We will identify a new version and effective date, and give reasonable notice of material changes through the website or a relevant service channel. Where law or the nature of the change requires new acceptance, we will obtain it. Existing paid commitments and accrued rights are not rewritten retroactively.

If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions apply only to the extent lawful and consistent with the agreement’s purpose. A failure to enforce a provision once does not waive it permanently. A separately accepted service or order agreement controls a specific conflicting transaction, while mandatory law always controls.

This version does not silently authorize future products, automatic payments, expanded data collection or a change of contracting entity. Those changes require their own disclosures and any required acceptance.
